The ritual contained on this album is derived from the steps of an historic esoteric ceremony created and utilized in the second century A.D. While necessary adaptations were made to the steps, the authenticity of the spirit of the original ritual remains intact. The process of capturing the steps of the ritual began under the late harvest moon, anno 2013. The creative process of capturing the ceremony required great time, dedication, & devotion.
Our interpretation of each step of the ritual was carefully crafted for the purpose of mystical encounter, and meticulous attention was paid to the manner in which credible art should be made. Secretior Ritualia Cultus stands and speaks for itself, without any further explanation or exposition. The album was intended to be experienced as a whole from beginning to end without pause, as any genuine ritual would be conducted. To that end, the listener is offered no escape and no excuse.
